Principal's Message

Choosing the right environment for your child’s foundational years is one of the most significant decisions a parent can make. Here at Hāwera Christian School, we offer something truly distinct: a learning environment where academic excellence and deep-seated faith go hand-in-hand.

We are unapologetically Christian. This means that God’s Word isn’t just a subject we teach; it is the lens through which we view the entire New Zealand Curriculum. Whether our students are exploring the sciences, engaging with literacy, or playing on the field, they are learning to see the world as a purposeful creation.

Our Mission for Years 0–8

The journey from a child’s first day at school to the end of Year 8 is a season of incredible growth. Our goal is to ensure that when our students leave us, they are not only academically prepared for high school but are also grounded in a biblical worldview that provides them with a clear sense of identity, value, and purpose.

We don’t do this alone. We are incredibly blessed by the vibrant support of our local Christian Churches and our dedicated school families. This partnership between home, church, and school creates a “three-fold cord” that supports every child in reaching their God-given potential.
